On Friday night I managed to get a ticket for Idina Menzels concert at the Apollo Theatre in the west end. I used to be a really big fan of hers when I loved Wicked so was quite excited. It was wayyyy better than I expected. Songs included 'The wizard and I', 'Take me or leave me' and of course 'Defying gravity'! As well as being a fantastic singer she was really funny and got a lot of giggles (Especially when she started the show by singing the first verse of the wizard and I twice!) She really connected with the audience and got 3 members of the audience down to sing "take me or leave me' and towards the end said thank you to the audience and sang 'For good' from wicked to us.
I also went to see Wicked the Friday before with Rachel Tucker as Elphaba and Gina Beck as Glinda, but I think I've got enough reviews of Wicked here already :p
